
The Pinwheel Galaxy (also known as Messier 101, M101 or NGC 5457) is a face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light-years (6.4 megaparsecs)[3] away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major.
Imaged with 8″ Meade ACF, 5.5 hour exposure using ZWO ASI071 MC Pro camera on Skywatcher EQ6r-Pro mount, Meade 50mm guide scope and ZWO 174 mini guider using PHD2. Acquired with N.I.N.A and processed in Pixinsight EZ in Sierra Vista, AZ on 5/6/2022
